Miss Brandie
Director/Founder
I am so happy that you’re here! My name is Brandie, and I have had the absolute pleasure of assisting in establishing Emergent Kids Preschool and serving as the director. I started working in child care many years ago and have continued to grow and advance my career as my passion and love for early childhood education has grown. I have experience working with children of all ages from infancy through high school.
After realizing the many different possibilities and approaches to early childhood education, a concept was created for a preschool unlike any other. This vision was to create a holistic space for kids to be kids, staff members to be supported, and families to be connected. This would take place in a non-stimulating, home-like environment where teachers would use genuine connections and personal relationships to motivate learning to take place.
Now that vision has brought you here. Welcome to Emergent Kids Preschool! We cannot wait to welcome you to our school family.
Alex Christopoulos
Owner/Founder
From St. Petersburg, Florida, Alex is the founder and owner of Emergent Kids Preschool, as well as School Choice CPA & Associates and School Choice Solutions. With over eight years of executive experience in education management, finance, and business development, he is passionate about reshaping conventional teaching methods.
Driven by the belief that traditional, “one-size-fits-all” education overlooks individuality, Alex established Emergent Kids Preschool to provide a nurturing environment where every child’s unique talents can flourish.
Alex’s commitment to high-quality education extends beyond students, influencing families, teachers, and the broader community. Through his innovative vision, he continues to champion a transformative approach to early childhood education—one that ensures every child can thrive, learn, and grow to their fullest potential.
Miss Tabitha
3 Year Old Teacher
With many years of experience, I am excited to bring my skills and abilities to Emergent Kids Preschool. I have experience with children of all ages, but my specialty is with 2 and 3 year olds. I like to use a more playful approach with kids to really speak their language – play! My experience with kids at various schools along with the gift of my son allows me to know and appreciate how crucial the first few years of our lives really are. I am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the important and exciting journey with you and your children! I can’t wait to meet you!

I am so grateful to continue my career in early childhood education as support staff at Emergent Kids Preschool. My first position at Anchorage Waldorf School in 1998 inspired a journey that continues as an educator today. i am fortunate to have worked with many teachers, administrators, children, and parents. Each experience was unique. I’ve had the opportunity to be a faculty member as well as established schools, founder of a successful homeschool program, private nanny, a parent, and, most recently, co-creator of a homeschool enrichment program. I am dedicated to creating an environment that nourishes children, supports parents, and inspires all.

Hi, I’m Elvis! I’m a cheerful cockatiel who joined the preschool family on September 14, 2023. With my bright cheeks, funny chirps, and curious personality, I’ve made myself right at home in the school.
I love greeting the children and keeping them company throughout the day. Being around me helps students learn about kindness, empathy, and responsibility. I’ve been told that my calming presence brings comfort during quiet moments and that my silly whistles bring lots of smiles.
Whether I’m perched for storytime or singing along to music, I’m always here to brighten the day. I may be small, but I have a big job!

are fully qualified, very experienced, and extremely dedicated. All applicants go through an extensive interview process and complete internal trainings to ensure all staff have the Emergent Kids vision in mind and action every day.
We truly value continuity of care and know how important consistency is in a young child’s life – which is why our team is made of only dedicated and long term part-time and full-time educators. We employee regular permanent float educators which enables us to refrain from using “casual” or “agency” educators. This means that your child will always know and be familiar with every educator in the service!
