2 Year Olds
Exploring Independence, Building Trust, &
Finding Their Voice
The 2s program at Emergent Kids
Our 2-year-old classroom is a small, nurturing space designed for exploration, connection, and the very beginning of independence. At EKP, we understands that 2-year-olds are in a very transitional stage of development. They are learning to express themselves, navigate big emotions, and gain confidence in their growing abilities.
This classroom is intentionally structured to offer both freedom and support which allows children to make choices, explore new materials, and engage in parallel and interactive play all while feeling safe and guided by responsive, emotionally-attuned teachers.
If you’re ready for more info, we’d love for you to come visit us and meet our 2 Year Old Teacher, Miss Imelda!

Potty Training Partnership
We approach potty training as a collaborative journey between the child, family, and school. Every child develops at their own pace, and we partner closely with families to support this process with consistency, patience, and positivity. Once your child shows signs of readiness, we will mirror the routines and language you use at home to create a smooth, stress-free experience. Our goal is to build confidence and independence without pressure, celebrating each small and big step along the way.
